The tour departs from the country's capital (Windhoek). Yoiu will travel through impressive savaanah landscapes until you reach the Namib Desert at Sesriem. From there you will visit the famous Sossusvlei with its impressive surrounding dune landscape. On the last day the tour will take you through the gravel plains of the Namib to the Atlantic Ocean, arriving in Swakopmund in the afternoon of the third day.
Departure from Windhoek at 10h00 in the morning. You will travel via the Khomas mountains in a south westerly direction towards the Namibia. The route will take you via the scenic Spreetshoogte Pass, where you will have ample photo opportunities. You will reach your lodge at the entrance to the Namibia Naukluft Park in the early afternoon.
You will depart the lodge in the early morning hours and drive to the dunes around the world famous Sossusvlei and Deadvlei. Here you will spend the most part of the morning, climbing the dunes and simply enjoying the magnificient dune landscapes in the golden light of sunrise.
Optional: For those who wish to have an even more unique experience, a Balloon Flight over the dunes can be booked at an extra cost. Those going on a Balloon ride will visit the dunes around Sossusvlei in the afternoon.
After a relaxed breakfast you will depart from your lodge. The first stop will be at the small Service Station at Solitaire, before the journey continues past the Tropic of Capricorn, into the Kuiseb Canyon and along the gravel plains of the Namib until you reach the coastal town of Swakopmund in the early afternoon.
Your guide will drop you off at your accommodation of choice, which then marks the end of the tour.
