1. For the next 21 days from 04 February until 24 February the restriction on movement will be amended. The new curfew will be from 22h00 until 05h00.
2. The wearing of masks is still compulsory. Social distance and sanitizing must still be complied with.
3. The public gathering maximum of 50 people remains unchanged.
4. Mx 2-hour duration of public gatherings remains unchanged.
5. The liquor restrictions remain unchanged.
6. The entry into Namibia: Even if you have been vaccinated you will still be required to show a negative PCR test. The 7-day validity still remains. Namibians returning without a negative PCR test will be required to be submitted to a test and quarantine on own cost.
7. Rapid tests results can be used when departing Namibia and if the destination country allows the results from a rapid test.
8. The backlog has been cleared on PCR test results. It will now be available between 24 and 48 hours.
9. Vaccination in Namibia: The government has financially secured vaccines that will amount to 20% of the targeted population (508 000) people.
10. The roll-out plan has been established. There will be a collaboration with Botswana with regards to vaccines and reporting
11. The first vaccines are scheduled to arrive late February 2021. The vaccination programme will target high priority groups first.
